[LYRICS] The somber dusk The humid air Magick denounced For holy prayer Devout to God Through doubt and pain Submit to Christ "Please, stop the rain." + + + [INFO / BACKSTORY] In mid 2014, when I had fully surrendered my life to Christ but was still taking "baby steps", I was walking in some woods when it started raining. I wanted the rain to stop. In the past, I had tried to control the weather through (what we could basically call) "magick", and I wanted to try the same thing that day. However, I remembered what God had taught me by that point, that "magick" is deceptive, (humans do not have innate magical powers!) and it is evil. (It is against God's will -- God only gives "powers" to certain prophets, such as those in the Old Testament, who specifically need those powers to fulfill His will! Everything, yes, EVERYTHING else is "smoke and mirrors" inspired by malevolent demonic forces!) Thus, with some hesitation, I resisted the urge, and instead, I prayed to our holy triune God to stop the rain. The rain stopped. (Of course God doesn't answer EVERY SINGLE prayer He receives, but in this case, it was a very important "teaching moment" for me.)
